with c rig ,

if brave go with gusts , wigglin tiller frantically , somehow helps keep bow up.

otherwise sail away from squalls , look for patches of Less wind , if it gets too much go side to to sqaul and let sail flap , bear away after and continue on your merry way .

Bin missing these conditions soo far art roo this winter series .

With any of the rigs sheet completely out including the fine tune so the boom is forward of the mast allowing you to go deeper downwind but still spilling some air. Boat tends to roll a bit, but rudder waggle can reduce that. Also having the outhaul well back along the boom will increase the sail twist allowing more wind out of the top of the sail where it has most leverage, therefore reducing tendency to nose dive. Hope these tips help.

I have found that slowly wiggling the rudder so that the bow of the boat slews port to starboard and vice versa helps to keep the bow up out of the water. Laughing
