27 th Nov- SUN Race 1.00pm to 3.00 pm no race to start 2hrs after 1st start

10 thb Dec - Sat 1.00pm to 3.00 pm , no race to start 2hrs after 1st start

17 th Dec no racing off to shops !!!

7th Jan - sat 2.00pm to 4 pm , no race to start 2hrs after 1st start

21st Jan - Sat 2.00pm to 4 pm, no race to start 2hrs after 1st start

4th Feb - sat 2.00pm to 4 pm , no race to start 2hrs after 1st start

18th Feb - Sat 2.00pm to 4 pm , no race to start 2hrs after 1st start

4th Mar - Sat 2.00pm to 4 pm no race to start 2hrs after 1st start

19th Mar Sunday, 2.00pm to 4 pm , no race to start 2hrs after 1st start)

Entry Fee : same as last year, £5.00 Adult full Series , Youff - under 20 £2.50 full series.
race day only Adult £1.00 , Youff £0.50

As last year there will be prizes for 1st three overall , 1st Youff, and winner of each individual days racing (unless you have allready won 1) .

Mystery free raffle for all those that enter last days racing , last years prize was a new b rig mainsail , won by Derek Spall , this year its a mystery - Sooo Far.

Guide to rules for series .
50 % discard.
Hitting of marks allowed.
Minor and unavoidable collisions unpenalised .
Over the line , teensy wee bit MAY be got away with but don't expect it !if in doubt return and restart is only course of action and required.
1 360 degree turn to be performed as soon as possible and out of the way of other competitors for infringements of any Standard rules other than above.

Anyone thought to be taking advantage of our relaxed rules , to initialy recieve jovial verbal harrasment , repeat offenders will be required to start 10 secs behind until decorum returns.

Anyone taking things too seriously may be requested to start 10 secs behind after a bit o banter.

Start countdown , will be a verbal 20 secs (arbitary ) coundown called by the winner of the previous race , this being a slight form of handicapping as try ing to countdown and sail to the line in rc lasers aint as easy as you may think !
Unless we have a willing bystander volunteer.
Race result recording will be by first to finish grabbing the results book and scribbling franticaly

Sail Numbers are required (please register your boat with UKRLA and even join - its worth it !)

Frequency- as you know when joining Rhu Radio Lasers you will have been allocated your own frequency on a first come first served basis these are to be respected , the list will be circulated through yahoo group , please note your dedicated frequency, note if you haven't appeared in last couple of years you may have lost your allocation.

Number of boats racing , we aim to sail as big a fleet as we can.

Gr8 days racing at Rhu last sun next 10th December , will beat thart hull bugger yet !

You would think that a guy who sells these lazer bowats would have one that didnae leak! Perhaps if he sailed on the surface he micht get on a wee bitty better.

Seturday , gloves orf , round two and nae sandbagging this time . Bringing young son Andy with me who whupped THB at Tarbert scottish series at the age of 12 .and Bro Al for covering .

nother gr8 day at rhu sat 10th , 13 boats turn out and some new faces , Keith Hall had his first days sail and finished the day woth a 3rd , could be probs with Hulls and Halls !!!

Day 5 Results

Duncan does it !

Iain Duncan showing his steady return to form finished the day with an overall days win .

Simon Lawson after a slow kick off steadily climbed through the fleet for 2nd .

Andy Busby with a couple of race wins came in 3rd and Stewart Douglas 4th his race win put him ahead of John Paterson tied on points.

Jist a wee reminder , if a boat is over the line at the start , it should sail completely to the pre start side of the line before starting there isn't an option of taking a 360 (which would ALSO be required if start mark was hit ) if anyone was wondering .

A wee bit o the white stuff and you guys frae the North (RRLers) run for cover! Not so us hard Southerners (ABRLers) who managed 12 races at Irvine yesterday despite the frostbite in our fingers and toes! Had to be careful not to slip on the white stuff and end up in the pond though. The locals had fun trying to pelt us wae snowballs as well. Hey, see what yer aw missin doon here! See youz on Sunday, unless a tornado or earthquake gets in our way to Rhu!

2nd was sylph like Homer sporting his best pantz
3rd Ken pooping his ayrshire buddy on last days impressive performance and consitencey the Hull fella used to have !
$th Anudder flippin Ayr doon there sorta fella Simon Lawson and winner of raffle for new sail .

Thurs series still goes on and the Ayry Faireys are running some racing too .

Next stop for me is Tarbert I think for Scottish Series (mini) then Scottish somewhere organised by the faireys .
